This study looked at how hypnosis can help people with anxiety. The researchers analyzed many different studies that compared hypnosis to other treatments or no treatment at all. They found 15 studies with a total of 17 trials that met their criteria.
The results showed that after the hypnosis treatment, the participants experienced a significant reduction in anxiety. In fact, on average, the people who received hypnosis had a 79% greater reduction in anxiety compared to those in the control group.
The researchers also looked at the long-term effects of hypnosis and found that even after some time had passed, the participants who received hypnosis still showed significant improvement in anxiety. On average, they were about 84% better off than the control group.
Overall, this study suggests that hypnosis can be an effective treatment for anxiety, especially when used in combination with other therapies or interventions.
